Linocut and woodcut are the two best known representives of what is generally referred to as relief printing. In this type of printing the areas that should not show in the print are cut from the printing block, like when creating a stamp. Special chisels and gouges are used to produce the block.
In this workshop you will design and produce a lino/woodcut.
Attention will be paid to design, graphic conversion from the design to the cut and techniques for cutting and printing.
Teacher: Peter Dammers (lino) / Maarten Welbergen (wood)
