summer course figure drawing

Drawing the human figure presented a challenge through different ages and cultures. Its anatomy, its many different appearences and possible expressions have captivated the imagination of countless artists for centuries. Renaissance artist Rafaello was thought able to realisticly draw the figure in any position and seen from any angle, needing no model. Today, countless comic book artists all over the world still possess this skill.

In this summer course fundamentals like anatomy, proportions and perspective are addressed, and you will be spurred on to try different approaches and drawing media: Every next class will be devoted to a different way of representing the model on paper.

Models, easels, paper and drawing materials are catered for by the school.

The sessions are scheduled on 5 mornings from 10-13u, in the week of July 10. The price is 420 euro.
