workshop monoprint

Monoprinting is a type of printmaking that involves versatile imagery that can only be produced once. In this workshop we will explore negative and positive trace monotypes. This expressive form of mark-making can be very fluid and gestural and can be done without a press! If you want to release some of the control sometimes associated with printmaking this is a great way to let loose and develop a series of imagery quickly. Bring a few ideas, images, prints or drawings to serve as your inspiration for this new series or work. No prior experience necessary.

Use Google images to see examples of the great variety of monoprints!
